The Provincetown Banner is the award-winning weekly community newspaper serving the towns on the outer arm of Cape Cod–Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet and Eastham.

First published in 1856, the Banner returned in 1995, retaining its historic motto of "Be Just and Fear Not." The Banner has garnered numerous awards for editorial content, advertising and design, including the prestigious Newspaper of the Year Award from the New England Press Association. In 2000, the Banner acquired the publishing rights to the (Provincetown) Advocate and the Wellfleet Advocate; the Provincetown Banner and the Advocate are now published as one combined paper.

In April of 2000, we acquired the publishing rights to the (Provincetown) Advocate and the Wellfleet Advocate. We now publish one combined paper covering the towns of Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet and Eastham. In February 2008 the Provincetown Banner was purchased by GateHouse Media Inc.
